Makayla White is an Associate Attorney with Tipp Coburn Lockwood, P.C., who practices in the areas of criminal defense and general civil litigation. She is licensed to practice in all State and Federal Courts in the State of Montana.

Makayla grew up in Chandler, Arizona. After graduating high school, Makayla attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, graduating summa cum laude with a dual Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science in 2021.

In 2025, Makayla graduated with honors from the University of Montana Alexander Blewett III School of Law in Missoula, Montana. During her time in law school, Makayla was drawn to both the hands-on and academic aspects of the law.

Makayla served as a Staff Member and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Montana Law Review, contributing to the publication of two volumes and overseeing the 2025 Browning Symposium. This work allowed Makayla to hone her legal research and writing skills and develop a unique perspective on how wielding institutional knowledge and creativity can improve advocacy.

Makayla completed clinical work with the Associated Students of the University of Montana (ASUM) Legal Services, where she gained experience in assisting others with criminal charges, in addition to landlord-tenant, consumer, family, and other civil matters. Through these experiences, Makayla became passionate about helping others efficiently navigate legal systems in the face of what are often complex, stressful, and highly charged circumstances.

Makayla is committed to representation that embodies integrity, professionalism, and zeal in the pursuit of what is just and fair.

In her free time, Makayla enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and dog, Lady. She loves reading, watching a good movie, hiking, snowboarding, and whatever else the Montana seasons have to offer!
